New AdventuresDecember 31, 2013
Ha! We survived 2013. That's a good reason to be celebrating right?
In a few hours, there will be flying cars and cruisin' through our galaxy can be possible. I mean that's what New Year is all about, right? Super cool technology that wasn't available before? Wrong. A lot of change can't happen in just few hours. It takes for us to go from December 31, 2013 to January 1, 2014. New Year doesn't simply mean a change in numerics but what it brings forth is a sense of renewed hope and another chance to be a better you. I don't know why we fuss over the New Year though. Every day is a chance so why wait twelve months?
Everyone has this habit of saying "tomorrow I will be a better person" bandwagon. Most people end up ditching it after a few weeks. Some may last longer like for months but we eventually end up going back to our usual selves. Good for you if you really stick with your New Year's Resolutions. However, I'm also guilty of such mentality.
I may sound like a hypocrite but I want to prove myself and be a better person. I will stop or at least try not to be lazy and accomplish whatever project I have planned for myself.
It's also the perfect season for us to reminisce the events that happened in our lives in the past year. Those new friends you've met, new talents you discovered, your achievements, silly things you did and the new places you've been to. Count the blessings that we received and be thankful for everything. Don't lose hope on things that you want. If you didn't get it in the past year, maybe God has stored up a better plan for you.
It's a new year. It's time to start again and do whatever you want to do. It's time to be who you are. Forget those people that drifted out in your life and whatever bad happened in 2013. Take risks. You only have one life and it's time to make the most out of it.
So cheers to the New Year!
